Julianna Vanella started playing softball when she was five. She became hooked from an early age and developed a love for catching. She learned there was something magical about catching, from the strategy of calling pitches, the leadership you have on the field, and the excitement of plays at the plate and throwing people out.

She continued on to play travel softball for the Indian Mills Force and the Marlton Thunder. She spent most of her years as a catcher, but also played outfield. She was named to the All Tournament Team in Hagerstown, Maryland.

She was a power hitter with a .435 batting average and a .515 on base percentage. Coach Jules was named to the All-County team for Burlington County.

Jules has had many years of experience with coaching children. Prior to coaching softball, she also coached karate classes and swim Instruction. She is also an elementary teacher and understands there are different types of learners within every environment. Jules works to ensure her athletes learn their basic softball fundamentals and mechanics while also pushing them to the next level. There’s nobody better to talk with developing catchers than Jules, because she speaks from her own real experience from her years of playing the position.

Jules has a natural gift of communicating with her athletes and works to make sure they’re having fun while staying engaged during their lessons!
